Short Bio
Dr Gopal Jamnal received his Ph.D. in Internet of Things and Machine Learning from Edinburgh Napier University, U.K, and currently serves as a Senior Lecturer in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at Leeds Beckett University, U.K. With over a decade of experience across academia and industry in Europe, the U.K., and the Asia-Pacific region, he has established expertise as an AI solution architect and software engineer, focusing on explainable and causal machine learning for quantitative finance, including earnings forecasting, factor-based modeling, systematic trading, risk analytics, and trustworthy decision-support systems for regulated financial environments. He has led and contributed to externally funded, industry-facing research projects and collaborated with globally recognized organizations such as Adidas Group, Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), Goodyear, and PwC to design and deploy applied AI solutions.
